Fairfield First Fridays Celebrates Fairfield Talent for the Upcoming Event
Fairfield First Fridays continues outdoors! The September event, Open Mic Night in Central Park, will be on September 7th, from 6:30 to 10 pm. Come hang out in Central Park to celebrate the warm weather, hear some of the amazing talent in our community and enjoy the beautiful summer season!
There will be live performances from 6:30 to 10pm, great food and food vendors, many local artists, local businesses, non-profits and a few new additions. There will be a section of the square set up with lawn games for some friendly competition with your family and friends.
There will be many businesses, restaurants, galleries and venues open on and around the square, a few are listed below. Stop in!

Burlington Ave. Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Thursday 10 – 6, Friday 10 – 8 and Saturday 10 – 5 "Americus Gallery will be showing Christopher Kufner's original oil paintings, featuring Italian/French Landscapes, Figurative works and Large Format Photography on archival paper of the Tuscan Countryside. Also, showing original oil paintings by Kim Kufner, New Original watercolor and ink paintings by Genevra Bell, Art Glass Vases by David Lotton and diochroic glass jewelry by Pedro Lujano."

At Home- 52 N. Main St.-6:30-8:30- We will have Danish born Australian textile artist and natural dye expert Kirsten Ingemar at the store. Kirsten will be demonstrating the art of natural dye and leaf printing. There will be a dye pot going in the back garden, and a display of her work in the store. This will be a preview of the in depth workshop offered September 8 and 9.
Carnegie Historical Museum- 112 S. Court St, - museum open 6 - 9pm. New labels for EDWARD S. CURTIS photos, also new WW2 Navy Frogman display. Misc. children's activities 5-7:30pm. ''A HOUSE DIVIDED'': HAWKEYE / CYCLONE bean bag toss, football helmet activity, GIANT BUBBLES. Stop in this fantastic museum to see the collections!

Fairfield Ledger Building- 112E. Broadway Ave. Luke Stenger's debut photography show is a collection of images spanning several years that was almost exclusively shot on analog 35mm film. The show is located at the old Fairfield Ledger Building, just follow the signs and enter through the alley! There will be complimentary wine and cheese, as well as prints for sale. At 10pm there will be a special art show reception at the new and glorious Event Center Barn located at 1949 Pleasant Plain Rd (across from 2nd reservoir) to feature DJ sets by Coolzey and Peter Arnold. $10 at the door or free with art purchase.
