17th Annual Genealogy Workshop
Description
Monroe County Heritage Museum will host its 17th annual
Genealogy & History Workshop on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Old Courthouse Museum on the square in downtown Monroeville.
 
Tom Price, resident volunteer for FamilySearch.org, will present a program on using recent advances in technology to assist with research.
Meredith McDonough, archivist at the Alabama Department of Archives and
History since 2006, currently manages the new Digital Assets section at the
Department.  She will discuss access to and use of online digital collections at the Archives.
Craig Remington, Director of Cartographic Research Laboratory at the University of Alabama, will present a program on historic maps and their uses in research.
