"Lions Live With Purpose"

The Broken Bow Lions Club is a Non-Profit organization that's main focus is to meet the needs of our local communities and the world.  Lions are an international network of 1.35 million men and women in 209 countries and geographical areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.   Today, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest Community Service Organization with clubs all around the world.

Beginning in 1917, the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities.   In 1925 Helen Keller challenged the members to be "knights of the blind".   The Broken Bow Chapter was chartered on May 4th, 1954.

"We Serve" became the association's official motto in 1954. Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities.  These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.  Our men and women conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.
