From fields by the farm, cold storage warehouses or ships at the ports, to major supermarket chains, or small farmer’s markets, and everything in between, Wayne T. Fellows, Inc. has found a niche in being able to deliver just the right quantity and mixture of product that customers need.

“Through our focus on the less-than-truckload aspect of shipping, we are able to offer a more unique service to our customers, thereby allowing them more of a choice with their transport needs,” said Tom Fellows. “There’s plenty of trucking companies and independent contractors competing for truckload business, but receivers don’t always need a truckload of product. We offer a service option that allows our customers to better serve their customers’ actual needs, regardless of quantity.”

Under the company’s logo are three words – freshness, quality, dependability. It’s three words that the entire staff take very seriously.

“Those three words add up to a fourth – integrity,” said Donna Fellows. “We try to be the silent and invisible link in the chain. We make significant efforts to protect the integrity of our customers’ shipments so that their products stay as fresh as possible and maintain the quality that their customers expect. We’re able to do this, in part, because of our dependable service.”

Inbound Logistics Coordinator and oldest daughter, Cathy Sumner, concurs.

“Our goal is for our customers to be able to send us their orders, then forget about them until the product is at its destination,” Sumner said. “We want our customers to feel as though, so long as it’s on our truck, they can depend on us to deliver their product where it needs to be, at the temperature it needs to be at, when it needs to be there. We like to think that we do that pretty well.”
