Operation Military Matters Corp

What began as a classroom project in November 2015 grew into a meaningful nonprofit initiative inspired by a young student’s heartfelt response to a Veterans Day assembly. After hearing veterans share their experiences, 9-year-old Graci Tubbs felt compelled to show appreciation for military service members and ensure they felt supported by those back home. What started as a school effort to gather supplies and send care packages overseas quickly gained community support and momentum, laying the foundation for a lasting mission of service.

In December 2015, the initiative officially became a corporation and was later recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on March 16, 2016. Today, Operation Military Matters Corp continues its mission of sending care packages to deployed military personnel, helping remind them they are valued and remembered. Graci Tubbs, now a college student, actively speaks to civic organizations and military groups to raise awareness, support, and donations that sustain the organization’s ongoing outreach efforts.
