Santa Paula Craftsman is led by Mike Adams, a skilled furniture maker and a licensed, insured, and bonded California Contractor (#1040856) specializing in solid-wood tables, benches, architectural features, wood art, and custom-built pieces. After a successful 25-year career as a C-suite executive, Mike chose to step away from the corporate world to pursue a lifelong passion for working with his hands. Rooted in a family tradition of machinists and mechanics, his craftsmanship is guided by precision, creativity, and a deep respect for materials, with strong inspiration drawn from classic Craftsman design and the extraordinary artistry of the Greene and Greene tradition.

Based in the scenic town of Santa Paula, California, the workshop operates out of a restored 1940s aircraft hangar surrounded by orchards and coastal air. Each project is thoughtfully designed in collaboration with clients, using carefully selected woods such as mahogany, walnut, spalted maple, and African ebony to create distinctive, functional art meant to be enjoyed for generations. In addition to custom furniture, Santa Paula Craftsman offers woodworking classes, vacuum-kiln lumber drying, shop-time rental, select furniture restorations, and on-site vintage window and door restoration, bringing timeless craftsmanship into modern living through integrity, detail, and a passion for the craft.
