Founded in December 2022 by Johnston residents Leif and Tricia Gustafson, The Cork 50131, LLC is more than just a wine bar; it’s a thoughtfully crafted destination for relaxation, connection, and community. Inspired by a spontaneous visit to a wine bar during a first date in 2020, Leif and Tricia envisioned a space where friends, families, and neighbors could gather to enjoy exceptional wines, vibrant events, and a welcoming atmosphere. With the support of Butzke Burch Construction and ISG, they transformed the first tenant space in the Johnston Town Center Development into a unique venue that balances warmth, style, and functionality.

At The Cork, Leif oversees daily operations, curates the wine selection, and manages private events, while Tricia brings her design expertise as the aesthetic director and orchestrates the popular summer concert series at the Johnston Town Center Yard. Together with a dedicated team, many of whom started as loyal patrons, The Cork delivers an inviting, fun, and friendly environment where every guest can unwind and enjoy a memorable experience. Family-inspired and community-focused, The Cork 50131 continues to grow as a cornerstone of Johnston’s social scene.
