Children’s Cancer Connection is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Iowa families impacted by a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Guided by its mission to connect families affected by childhood cancer through opportunities that encourage relationships and strengthen community, the organization provides educational resources, support outings, camp programs, events, and outreach to more than 850 Iowa families each year at no cost. With a deep commitment to serving the entire family throughout the entire journey, Children’s Cancer Connection ensures that no one faces childhood cancer alone.

Founded in 1987 as The Heart Connection under the leadership of Adele “Delli” Lampe, the organization pioneered Iowa’s first camp for children with cancer and introduced one of the nation’s first sibling camps. In 2010, the organization was renamed Children’s Cancer Connection to more clearly reflect its mission, while preserving its heart-centered legacy and long-standing commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of families for more than 30 years.
