Jefferson Regional Foundation

Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Jefferson Regional Foundation stands as a beacon of community support, having disbursed over $17 million in grant awards to 120 diverse organizations in the South Hills and Mon Valley areas since its inception in March 2013. Established as part of the affiliation agreement for Jefferson Hospital's integration into the Allegheny Health Network, the Foundation operates with a steadfast commitment to addressing the social determinants of health. Through three major grant cycles annually and additional mini-grants, the Foundation channels its efforts into six key priorities: Health and Wellness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Workforce and Economic Opportunity, Civic Engagement and Policy Work, Early Childhood and Youth Development, and Capacity Building.

At the heart of our mission lies a dedication to fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and community empowerment. This ethos is epitomized through our hallmark event, the Jefferson Forum, an annual gathering that serves as a platform for dialogue, learning, and partnership building. Beyond this event, we proudly spearhead the Jefferson Community Collaborative, a vibrant network comprising over 100 organizations. This collaborative effort, born from the inaugural Forum in 2015, catalyzes transformative change by incubating innovative ideas, enhancing organizational capacity, and driving collective action toward shared community goals. Through initiatives such as Mental Health First Aid Training, the Jefferson Counts Census 2020 outreach campaign, and Around the Table South, we actively engage with residents and stakeholders to create a tangible, sustainable impact. Committed to transparency and resource sharing, we also provide vital community reports and tools like Surprise in the Suburbs, Community Snapshots, and the Jefferson Directory, fostering connectivity and empowering organizations to better serve their constituents.
