The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) in Foster City is part of a renowned non-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional youth soccer programs across the United States, the US Virgin Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago. With over 50,000 teams and 500,000 players nationwide, AYSO is celebrated as one of the leading youth soccer organizations globally. Known as “the biggest soccer club in the world,” AYSO operates entirely through the efforts of dedicated volunteers, including coaches, referees, and board members, who ensure that Foster City remains one of the premier AYSO regions.
Foster City falls within AYSO's Section 2, Area N, Region 62 (2N62), sharing AYSO's vision of providing world-class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives. Our mission is to develop and deliver quality soccer programs that promote a fun, family-friendly environment, guided by AYSO's Six Philosophies:
- Everyone Plays: Ensuring every player participates in at least 50% of each game, fostering learning and enjoyment.
- Balanced Teams: Creating teams to emphasize player experience over winning, promoting sportsmanship and team spirit.
