C&F Financial Corporation is a bank holding company that was incorporated in March 1994 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Corporation owns all of the stock of Citizens and Farmers Bank (C&F Bank), which is an independent commercial bank chartered under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. C&F Bank originally opened for business under the name Farmers and Mechanics Bank on January 22, 1927. The Bank has the following five wholly-owned subsidiaries, all incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

The Corporation operates in a decentralized manner in three principal business activities: (1) community banking through C&F Bank, (2) mortgage banking through C&F Mortgage Corporation and (3) consumer finance through C&F Finance Company. C&F Bank operates 31 banking offices and four commercial lending offices in Virginia, located between Hampton Roads and Charlottesville and in the Northern Neck region. C&F Mortgage Corporation provides mortgage loan origination services throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. C&F Finance Company provides automobile, marine and RV loans through indirect lending programs in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. C&F Wealth Management Corporation provides a full range of wealth management services and insurance products to individuals and businesses through C&F Bank’s 31 banking locations.
