Mary’s Tack, Feed & Pet originated March 2001 in Bogart, Georgia. Beginning in a quaint farm house, in 2005 the business moved into a 12,000 square foot facility in Athens, Georgia. This facility houses boots, work & fashion apparel, pet, wild bird & small animal supplies, English & Western tack, farm animal feeds, and an array of specialty gifts. Clinging to its roots, Mary’s still provides an ambience of the quaint farm house where it all started, using the original barn wood and antique farm implements displayed thru out. In addition to a pleasant shopping environment, customers are provided with ample parking, personal and knowledgeable service, the ability to place special orders, and a convenient, covered drive-thru with warehouse staff to load feed and other heavy items.
 
The pleasant and spacious 8,000 square foot retail space displays our continuously growing boot department. Carrying a wide range of boots for work & play by leading brands Ariat, Georgia Boot, Red Wing, Corral, Durango, Twisted X, Dan Post, Stetson, Carolina, Keen, Roper, the list goes on. Mary’s apparel dept. features men’s, women’s and children’s apparel from Carhartt, Stetson, Outback, Wrangler, Kerrits, Ariat, Rockin’ Roll Denim and more.
Mary’s offers a full line of feed products from Purina Mills & Flint River Mills (FRM) for cattle, horses, poultry, and other farm livestock. During the spring we carry live chicks in an assortment of breeds along with everything needed to care for them, including custom coups. For our wild life friends we offer deer, rabbit, wild bird and other small animal feeds. Nutritional supplements, health aids, dewormers, and barn supplies are also featured. Square bales of Timothy, Bermuda, and Orchard/Alfalfa hays are carried year-round.
Additionally, we also specialize in hard-to-find grain-free and high protein foods and raw food for dogs and cats. Pet food lines include Orijen, Acana, OC Raw, Blue Ridge Beef, Farmina, Tucker’s, Taste of the Wild, Victor, Zignature, Vital Essentials, Diamond Naturals and many others. Pet-related products include vaccines, blankets, custom designed dog houses, health care treatment items, toys, treats, and more all from well-known brands for health and pet care needs.
English & Western Tack, horse grooming, saddles, plus an array of horse supplies from companies such as Weaver Leather, JPC Equestrian, Weatherbetta, and Billy Cook Saddlery are offered and can be special ordered to your specification.
