The company's founders initially bought their first 3D printer for personal use, but quickly identified a gap in the market and expanded their operations. Today, Invent 3D operates from their own building in Mriehel, boasting 1,500 sqm over 2 floors & a basement, a space necessary to house all activities.
 
 
Invent 3D is known for its agility and innovation-focused approach, offering solutions with negligible lead times, zero tooling costs, and high customization. This approach sets them apart from any traditional manufacturing processes like injection molding.

Invent 3D's technology played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic, where they manufactured and donated over 10,000 face shields to healthcare services, with the help of the local maker community, and retrofitted respirators with COVID-compatible filtration.
 
Their expertise covers a wide range of projects, including interior design, fashion, architecture, part manufacturing, tooling manufacturing, prototyping, medical device production and design, prosthetic design, digital dentistry, and trophy manufacturing.

David Sciberras, co-founder of Invent 3D, holds a B.Eng. degree and a Master’s in Integrated Product Development. His passion for additive manufacturing was sparked during his tenure as an Innovation Engineer at Toly.
 
Alexandra Sciberras, the COO and co-founder, is a qualified pharmacist and graphic designer with extensive experience in 3D printing and design, and an eye for detail and opportunity.
