Norwalk Hometown Pride

Keep Iowa Beautifuls Hometown Pride program was developed in 2012 as a way to support and encourage local communities to improve the appearance of and pride in their hometowns and counties. The program offers leadership training, skill development, youth service learning and a variety of educational components, tools, and solutions for community development and sustainability. This assistance helps local residents to enhance the cultural and economic vitality of their hometowns, paving the way for improvements to facilities and landscapes, as well as projects and events to promote a sense of community pride.

Participating cities and towns form a Hometown Pride team of local residents that works together to build a base of volunteers, accomplish projects that make a difference in their hometown, and boost the sense of community connection. Each Hometown Pride team decides what projects they want to do in their community.

The Norwalk Hometown Pride committee was officially approved by the state of Iowa in 2017 and had its kick-off meeting in January 2018. They are proud to be one of 7 communities working in tandem with Warren County Hometown Pride.
